LA Tierra de los Recordados
The Day of the Dead is an ancient Mexican tradition. On the picture above Frida is sitting next to La Catrina a symbol of this celebration. It is believed that the people who passed away go to a place called "The Land of the Remembered" known in Spanish as "La Tierra de los Recordados." If someone in the "Land of the Living" remembers the person who passed away, they will remain in that beautiful place. Otherwise they will go to the "Land of the Forgotten." Complete the activities below to know how you can help your relatives that passed away stay in the "Land of the Remembered."
